Kristin Davis’would Not be Living’ without Gender and the City Function
Kristin Davis considers with no flip on Sex and the City, she probably would not be living now.
The actress, who starred as Charlotte York for six seasons on the milestone HBO show, looked back in her time on the series during a meeting with an podcast Origins Together with James Andrew Miller and disclosed that her early career achievement helped her to overcome alcohol dependence.
“I really don’t believe I’d be living,” she shared. “I am an addict. I am a recovering alcoholic. If I had not discovered acting…acting is the one thing which made me need to get sober. I didn’t have anything which has been important to me than attempting to dull my senses”
Davis, now 53, after feared her battle will mean she would not live to see 30, but being a part of a significant creation directed her down the path of sobriety.
“I did not believe I’d live to be 30,” she explained. “I began drinking quite youthful and fortunately I ceased really young, until any success occurred, thank goodness.”
She also adds,”As my passion for acting was big when I was really young, I had something which was important to me than simply drinking.”
